OK, well not yet. But keep an eye out. I have decided to post my resolutions here. I know that having help will make things easier to stick to (even if it is just because I don't want to look foolish), and I am hoping that my friends may be willing and able to help me through the difficult times.
Happy holidays to all. Blessed Yule!!

So tomorrow after work, I leave for Orlando. Friday morning, Christopher & myself are flying up to the Big Apple to see our friend Char and her BF. I am so excited. Chris has never been there. I have been once, but had an abscess tooth and could barely function. I hope we see snowfall. We're only going for a long weekend, but we've planned to pack a lot into the weekend. And oh yeah, were going to see the play Naked Boys Singing". SOOO EXCITED!!

It seems amazing to me that 1 stupid incoming phone call can leave me so messed up. Especially one where the person who called me was drunk. I guess it is true that no matter how hard you try to shed certain feelings for someone, they never really go away.
All of this when I was doing so well. I, once again, am outgoing and willing to meet new people. Now my past comes rushing to tackle me once again. How do I respond? What do I do? I refuse to wallow in self-pity, and while I hate hearing him in pain, I know he'll never accept the one thing I want to give him to solve his problems.
But that is another can of worms. Thanks for listening.

So, I just got back from the cruise to the Bahamas. The cruise was OK, the ship and crew were not up to their usual standards. I am glad we are going on NCL next time. I did get to experience 2 wonderful dives while there. One was a wall dive, 80 feet deep on top of the wall, over 6,000 feet deep on the other. Like flying. Too bad I had forgotten to take my own regulator and had to use a rental. It had holes in the hoses, so I had to surface about 10 minutes early. I will definitely go back there. Now I'm looking forward to the March cruise.

My back has been giving me some trouble since Saturday and the heating pad just wasn't cutting it. I woke up this morning and just getting out of bed brought tears to my eyes. Thank the gods that it was my day off! I decided to - for the first time in my life - go to a chiropractor. I am so glad that I did.
I was expecting an experience similar to what my parents had 20 years ago. Walk in, have someone push, pull and pop, then tell me to come back 2 to 3 times per week for a few months to solve the issue. Not the case. First, she actually read the paperwork she had me fill out and we spent about 10 minutes discussing what I had written about the immediate problems, and the problems I had had in the recent past.
Next, she had me lay on my back. she then put my arms and then legs into different positions, and told me to hold them in place while she pushed on them. I was amazed that in one position I was able to keep her from moving my leg, but when she rotated it slightly, try as I may, I could not stop her from moving it. She took the time to explain why this was, and how it related to different deficiencies in the body. She then had me hold what appeared to be 2 big electrodes on various combinations of my back, chest & stomach. These were connected to a machine on which she would place, one at a time, varying supplements (something about ion transfer and finding which element was missing). With each supplement she would repeat the pushing exercise. It was amazing that when she found the right one, I was suddenly able to keep my leg from moving. We discovered that I have an adrenal insufficiency due to a B-vitamin deficiency and an under functioning liver.
Only after all of this was done, did she do any manipulations. I was amazed with both the results of the manipulations (while not 100% better, I can move and sit in a chair without pain), and with the fact that she didn't recommend the "come back next week" routine.
At the end of the appointment, we discussed which supplements I needed and I was told that I could purchase them there if I wanted, but did not have to (no high-pressure). She told me to come back when my supplements ran out for a re-check, or to call if I needed to come back sooner.
I now have a "back cracker" in my list of contacts

OK, both GA & FL require me to complete 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) every 2 years to keep my licenses. My GA license runs from 1/1/07 through 12/31/08 and other than ACPE accreditation, there are no other specific requirements for the CE. My FL license runs 10/1/07 through 9/30/09. In addition to ACPE accreditation, 3 hours must be an approved HIV/AIDS related course, a 1 hour approved Medication Error course, and at least 5 hours must be live courses. I can use the same CE's for both states, but because of the staggered renewals, to count for both, they must be done between 10/1/07 and 12/31/08. Tonight, I participated in a 1.5 hour, live online CE about the treatment of depression. This, coupled with the 24 hours of online reading CE's I have completed since 10/1 (including the Med Errors and HIV/AIDS courses) leaves me with only 3.5 hours of live CE left. I have scheduled 3 more live online sessions, and will complete my CE requirements on 11/16/07. I am so proud of myself. No more putting things off till the last minute. This is also translating over into my personal life. I am planning ahead more, making concrete plans and following through. It feels great that the only thing hanging over my head is my ever-growing out, long curly hair (which tomorrow turns red again).

So I have been doing some serious meditation and reading. I have, and am learning a lot about myself, and I have decided that I am through allowing others to dictate how I act or feel. The only person I have to please is me. I still have a lot to learn, but now I can get on with the lessons.
Aries, Leo rising with with my north node in Aries. 2 fire signs one cardinal and one fixed.
If you want to know more, just ask. We shall see where this new road takes me.

Wow! Glad that burn cycle is over. Now to fly again, better than ever. Thanks to all for the support. I hope the school work is going well. It's amazing what happens when you take anger, disappointment and heartache and turn them into ambition, drive and hope. The sky is the limit, and I plan to see it all.

Sometimes it's best not to know things. I had a wonderful weekend. I went to JAX to see Chris, Scooby & Al. I picked up Jim in Orlando and he rode with me. We celebrated his & Scooby's birthdays. All went well, but on the ride home, he mentioned some things that were kind of upsetting.
I am trying to take it all and turn it positive. Use the emotions to fuel the drive to succeed.
Anyway, I may become kinda scarce for a while. See if all the old adages are true.

Okay, so I didn't get much accomplished this weekend. I did clean the kitchen and do laundry. I also went to dinner with FLBoiSAS at PFChangs. I had a wonderful time. This was the first weekend I can remember in months that I have stayed home and not had tons of things to do. It felt great, but I wish I had felt better. We shall see what I get done this week.

265.5 Started the day with a healthy bowl of cereal in almond milk and a banana. I actually got a good night's sleep last night and feel even better than yesterday. Last night I cleaned the kitchen (I am such a slob when I am sick!) Plans for today are clean the rest of the house & take some things to Goodwill. Spend some time on the exercise bike. Also making sure to have a "well adjusted" weekend ;) :). TTYL

267.5 Just getting over a wicked cold. Still have a headache, sinus & chest congestion, but the antibiotics seem to be working. SO MUCH BETTER than Monday & Tuesday. :) I went grocery shopping today. Bought healthy stuff again. Time to get back to diet & exercise. Have put back on 10 lbs since August 1st. Worked 8-4. Training another pharmacist for a couple of weeks. Dogs are well. Lots of plans to work around the house this weekend. I'll let you know how I do.

Well, I have finally done it - my own web journal. A commitment to myself to be the best person I can be. A way to rise from my daily ashes and become something ever more beautiful, something dynamic and ever-changing. I am through following the path and seeing where it takes me, I will fly free and soar to the fantastic heights of freedom. Maybe I may even find someone special to soar along with me.
